The Gubernatorial Instruction (Ingub) number 107/2019 on Reduction and Sorting of Waste is socialized to civil servants serving under the Thousand Islands Regency. It is an effort to reduce waste in Thousand Islands region.

It also aims to encourage people to do waste sorting from its origin and to promote more waste bank activities in the islands

"It also aims to encourage people to do waste sorting from its origin and to promote more waste bank activities in the islands," expressed Environmental and Sanitation Business Development Division Head, Fahmi Hermawan, Thursday (1/30).

According to him, there are more than 2,000 waste banks in Jakarta and must be added to help with waste management, which is by requiring government offices to have a waste bank.
